About the Role
The RANZCOG Sexual & Reproductive Health Advanced Training Pathway (SRH ATP) is a two-year advanced training opportunity designed for senior RANZCOG trainees progressing toward Fellowship. The programme builds on the clinical knowledge, procedural skills, and professional capabilities gained through core FRANZCOG training and prepares trainees to deliver comprehensive, specialist sexual and reproductive healthcare services.
Based within the Women's Health Service at Auckland City Hospital and Epsom Day Unit, this role provides exposure to a broad range of sexual and reproductive health services, including contraception, medical and surgical abortion care, sexual health, menopause management, vulvovaginal conditions, colposcopy, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, and acute gynaecology. Trainees will complete mandatory Advanced Training Modules and elective modules under the supervision of experienced clinicians while contributing to service delivery, education, and quality improvement initiatives.

The Women's Health Service at Auckland City Hospital is one of New Zealand's largest tertiary women's health providers, delivering comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology services to a diverse population. About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A primary medical degree and a current Medical Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
- Advanced RANZCOG trainee status, or eligibility for advanced training, including completion of 184 weeks of approved training and all required basic procedural and surgical assessments (APSS).
- Successful completion of the RANZCOG Fellowship written and oral examinations at the time of appointment.
- A demonstrated understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori and other priority populations.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare.
Desirable:
- Experience applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in clinical practice.
- An interest in teaching and supporting undergraduate, postgraduate, nursing, and midwifery education.
- A commitment to advocating for women's sexual and reproductive health rights.
