About the Role

As the Manager, Reception & Health Records, you will provide leadership and operational oversight of reception, administration, and health records services across Hawkes Bay Hospital. Youll be responsible for ensuring these critical services run safely, efficiently, and in line with legislative and organisational requirements, supporting both patients and clinical teams.

This is a varied and fast-paced leadership role where youll balance people leadership with operational delivery. Youll lead a large and diverse team, drive continuous improvement, oversee data quality and privacy compliance, and work closely with clinical, digital, and operational stakeholders. Youll play a key role in strengthening systems, improving workflows, and ensuring high - quality, customer - focused services that support excellent patient care.

Our Reception and Health Records service is a large, hospital - wide function supporting both frontline patient interactions and the management of critical health information. Based at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, youll lead a significant team dedicated to delivering accurate, timely, and professional administrative services.

As an experienced operational leader, you will bring:

Proven experience leading large teams in a health, hospital, or service delivery environment
Strong understanding of administration, health records, or information management functions
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, risk, and compliance in a complex setting
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across clinical and non - clinical teams
A commitment to high - quality service delivery, continuous improvement, and equitable outcomes
