We have an exciting opportunity available for someone to join our close-knit laboratory team as a Science Technician. This is a permanent part-time position at 25.5 hours each week, working Monday to Friday. Previous laboratory experience (minimum 2 years), excellent time management, problem solving skills, with some lifting being required and knowledge of the 2015 Health & Safety act is essential for this role.

The role will be responsible for the set-up of teaching resources in the labs including the handling of raw offal when required, laboratory equipment maintenance and stock control.

The position will be supporting the Senior Science Technician and Laboratory Manager on a day-to-day basis.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of technical laboratory skills encompassing a variety of science disciplines (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Human Anatomy and Physiology). If you have hands on practical laboratory experience, preferably in a medical or educational environment, this role may be ideal for you.

This position will be based at the Manukau Campus with a commencement date of 25th January, 2027
