About the Role
If you’re someone who enjoys a challenge and has experience (professional or lived) supporting people with complex needs, we’d love to hear from you. This role is supporting clients with traumatic brain injuries.
In this role, you will:
Support people with mental health challenges as they set and achieve personal goals
Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
Our Dunedin mental health team is looking for someone with:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Mental Health) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
Must have the right to work in New Zealand
