Position Overview
The Associate Territory Manager provides flexible commercial and customer support across ZOLL Medical's New Zealand business. With a national remit, the role supports activity across the Hospital, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Military and Public Safety portfolios according to business priorities.
Working closely with the New Zealand Country Manager, Clinical Specialist and office team, the position manages existing customer relationships, identifies and develops new business opportunities, supports key projects and provides additional commercial coverage across priority markets and regions.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a motivated and adaptable professional who is comfortable operating across different business channels in a small, experienced team. The position offers exposure to the wider New Zealand business and is intended to develop an individual with the capability, maturity and ambition to assume broader responsibilities over time.

Commercial and Territory Support

Provide national commercial coverage across Hospital, EMS, Military and Public Safety in line with business priorities and under the direction of the New Zealand Country Manager.

Manage and develop existing customer accounts, supporting retention, satisfaction and long-term partnership opportunities.

Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities through proactive territory planning, customer engagement and market analysis.

Support the sales process, including customer meetings, product demonstrations, proposals, tenders, quotations, follow-up activity and implementation planning.

Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, customer records, forecasts and activity reporting using company systems.
Customer and Clinical Engagement
-
Build trusted relationships with clinicians, operational leaders, procurement teams, government agencies and other key decision-makers.

Partner with the Clinical Specialist to coordinate product education, demonstrations, evaluations and implementation support.

Develop a strong working knowledge of ZOLL products, clinical applications and customer workflows to communicate relevant value propositions.

Respond promptly to customer needs and coordinate with internal teams to resolve commercial, clinical, operational or service-related matters.
Projects and Cross-Functional Collaboration

Support key commercial, customer and business development projects across New Zealand.

Work collaboratively with the New Zealand office team and regional Sales, Clinical, Marketing, Operations, Technical Services and Customer Service teams.

Share market intelligence, competitive insights and customer feedback to inform commercial planning and business decisions.

Represent ZOLL Medical professionally at conferences, trade shows, training events and customer forums as required.
Territory Planning and Business Development

Develop and execute activity plans for assigned customers, projects, portfolios or regions.

Monitor market developments and identify opportunities to expand ZOLL's presence across existing and emerging customer groups.

Prioritise workload effectively and adjust focus as business needs change across portfolios and geographic areas.
Compliance and Professional Standards

Conduct all activities in accordance with ZOLL policies, applicable laws, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

Complete required documentation, reporting, training and administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.

Protect confidential customer, patient, employee and company information at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
-
A clinical qualification or professional background in nursing or paramedicine; or demonstrated success in medical device, healthcare or comparable consultative sales.
-
Experience building customer relationships and supporting sales, account management or business development activity.
-
Clinical or commercial experience in acute care, emergency medicine, pre-hospital care, hospital, EMS, defence, public safety or a related environment is desirable.

Ability to understand clinical and technical information and translate it into clear customer value.

Role Requirements

New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a current and valid work permit providing the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Ability and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight travel, and to attend customer or business activities outside standard hours when reasonably required.
