In the moment, for the future:
At Genesis, we’re all in – for our communities, our environment, and generations to come. Every moment here matters, because every moment contributes to a legacy of sustainable energy and meaningful impact. We’re proud of where we’ve come from and excited about where we’re going. If you’re ready for a career with purpose and promise, now’s the time to join us to get in the moment, for the future.
What you’ll do:
As our Health & Injury Management Specialist, you'll coordinate injury management, occupational health monitoring and early intervention programmes that support our people to stay healthy, recover well and safely return to work. You'll work closely with leaders, employees, ACC, medical professionals and external providers to deliver practical, people-focused health outcomes.
Joining our newly established Health, Wellbeing & Injury Management function, you'll have the opportunity to shape how we support our people into the future. While this role supports employees across Genesis, you'll also contribute to occupational health programmes within our high-hazard operational environments, including generation and LPG operations.
Some key responsibilities include:
Supporting employees to recover safely and confidently following injury or illness.
Coordinating occupational health monitoring programmes that protect the health of our people.
Partnering with leaders to improve return-to-work outcomes.
Working alongside ACC, medical providers and rehabilitation specialists to achieve the best outcomes.
Delivering health initiatives that enhance workforce wellbeing.
Helping shape the future of health and injury management across Genesis.
What you’ll bring:
You'll bring proven experience in injury management or occupational health, along with the ability to build trusted relationships, manage multiple priorities and deliver positive health outcomes. You're passionate about supporting people, enjoy finding practical solutions and are committed to continuously improving the way health and injury management is delivered.
You'll also bring:
Experience in occupational health, rehabilitation, injury or case management.
Knowledge of ACC legislation and return-to-work best practice.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and external providers.
Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience coordinating occupational health monitoring, health surveillance or employee wellbeing programmes.
A relevant qualification in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Health Sciences or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
How we’ll help you thrive:
At Genesis, we know that every moment matters - it’s not just about the mahi today, it’s also all the other benefits that set you up for a thriving future.
Some of our benefits include:
Southern Cross medical insurance, plus life, trauma and income protection insurances
Electricity and gas discounts and an extra 20 Power Shout hours per year.
Up to 4% match on KiwiSaver contributions or 3% with our GenSaver allowance.
Flexible working and leave options to support you to balance personal and professional needs.
Annual wellbeing allowance, access to Best Doctors online service for you and your family and other wellbeing offerings.
Career development opportunities and a supportive learning culture.
We're proud of our strong culture, which makes Genesis a great place to work. Ensuring our people are safe at work and can be themselves is crucial, this is reflected in our focus on safety and wellbeing.
We believe embracing diversity, embedding equity and being intentional about inclusion are essential to making Genesis a strong, innovative workplace where different backgrounds, perspectives and ideas thrive.
If you're passionate about helping people recover, improving workplace health and making a genuine difference to employee wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.
