As an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring a wide range of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops and monitors. Your work will help ensure refurbished products meet PB Tech’s quality standards and are ready for resale or redeployment. Key Responsibilities • Assess and diagnose ex-lease or returned devices for faults and damage. • Build Custom PCs. • Replace or upgrade hardware components such as RAM, SSDs, batteries, and screens. • Clean and reassemble devices to a high standard. • Install operating systems and perform basic software setup. • Conduct functionality testing and quality assurance checks. • Record work completed and parts used in internal systems. • Work collaboratively with the refurbishment and warehouse teams to meet daily targets.

• Previous experience in PC assembly, IT hardware repair, or refurbishment is preferred. • Ability to assemble desktop PCs (including GCPC builds) and configure laptops. • Solid understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. • Ability to follow technical instructions, standard operating procedures, and health & safety guidelines. • Competent English language skills are required, including speaking, listening, reading, and understanding written work instructions, technical documentation and health & safety procedures. • Physically capable of lifting and moving computer equipment safely. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
