Job Description
We’re looking for a highly organised Buyers Assistant to join our Merchandise team, supporting our Apparel, Footwear, Underwear, and Home categories.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with products and wants to build a career in Buying or Merchandise. You’ll play a key role in supporting Buyers with the administration, coordination and operational activities required to bring products from suppliers through to our stores.
No two days are the same. From coordinating samples and supplier communications to maintaining product information and managing purchase orders, you’ll be at the centre of activity, helping ensure products, promotions and category initiatives are delivered on time and accurately.
Working closely with Buyers, Suppliers, Merchandise Planning, Marketing, and Store teams, you’ll help ensure our categories are well managed, and customers have access to great products when they need them.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Buyers with the day-to-day administration and coordination across Apparel, Footwear, Underwear and Home categories.
- Maintain accurate product information including descriptions, pricing, SKUs and barcode data across multiple systems.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring key deadlines and critical path activities are delivered on time.
- Coordinate product samples and support photography, marketing and promotional requirements.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for category-related queries.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with products and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in retail, administration, customer service, coordination or a similar role.
- Confidence using Excel, Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
- Experience juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
- Confidence building relationships and working with suppliers and internal teams.
- A genuine interest in Fashion, Home, or Interior products, and a desire to build a career in Buying or Merchandise.
- You'll stand out if you've had experience working with products, inventory management, purchase orders or supplier administration.
