About the Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Engineering, Biomedical and Electronics Technicians to join our expanding Clinical Engineering Department.
This is a full time role based at Waikato Hospital but covers and supports medical equipment across the wider Waikato district and Te Manawa Taki Region. We are the first point of call for all medical equipment repairs and maintenance. You will be part of a team responsible for the service, maintenance, calibration and repair of various medical devices.
Key responsibilities:
- Routine and preventative maintenance of medical equipment
- Corrective maintenance and faulty finding of medical equipment
- Commissioning and install of new medical equipment
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the PSA Allied, Scientific and Technical Collective agreement. About the Team
Our service is a multidisciplinary engineering and technical team. As a team we support a wide range of medical equipment for the Te Whatu Ora Waikato district and specialist Renal Dialysis equipment support across the Te Manawa Taki region. We not only provide first point of contact for all medical equipment issues but also provide routine and scheduled maintenance of all medical equipment to ensure correct functionality, safety and performance.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in the repair and maintenance of Medical devices
- High technical aptitude and understanding of mechanical equipment
- Diploma/Bachelor in Electronic Engineering or equivalent Trade Based certification
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent Time management skills, organised, self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Hold a current New Zealand drivers licence and be comfortable driving both Manual and Automatic Vehicles
- Experience with a wide range of medical equipment as well as strong IT/networking skills would be advantageous
- Previous experience in electronic service and repair, particular involving medical equipment repair and maintenance and the healthcare sector is advantageous.
