As part of Process Development, you will join our team of 100 Engineers with varying skills and expertise. Through collaboration and ingenuity, we design and implement the process solutions and manufacturing lines that bring our products to life.
We are currently looking for a passionate Engineer, experienced in the development of thermoplastic and silicone injection moulding processes.
Moulding Process Development Engineers are a unique subset of the team who work alongside our mechanical and control engineers to develop and implement purpose-built injection moulding solutions. Some of the tasks your role will include are:
- Collaboration with product development teams to ensure process capability, design for manufacture and assembly of moulded components.
- Working together with operations engineers and production stakeholders to refine process requirements and deliverables for moulding equipment.
- Engaging with toolmakers to develop injection mould tools, providing detailed specifications and collaborating on the design.
- Working with world-leading injection moulding equipment including specification, procurement, commissioning and validation
- Getting hands on with commissioning, optimisation and validation of moulding processes as you prepare them to be rolled out into production alongside our other world class manufacturing equipment.
- Development of measurement systems used to qualify injection moulding processes, ensuring parts function as intended and can be used downstream
- Documentation plays an important part in ensuring that we are manufacturing quality medical devices. From capturing equipment performance through testing & analysis, creating operating and technical manuals and ensuring quality through our risk management documentation.
