Position Description
Imagine Tomorrow with Us | Ata whakaarohia tō āpōpō
At Fonterra Te Mātāpuna, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.
Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.
Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.
About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
This is an exciting opportunity to join Fonterra's Procurement team at a time of significant transformation.
Reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager, you'll play a key role in helping Procurement leverage data, systems, insights, and emerging technologies to deliver better business outcomes. Working across a range of initiatives, you'll help improve processes, optimise systems, enhance reporting, and support smarter decision-making across the function.
This is a varied and impactful role where you'll work closely with stakeholders across Procurement to understand business challenges and identify opportunities, then collaborate with data teams to deliver practical solutions that create value for the Co-op.
You'll be involved in initiatives that bring our vision for Procurement to life: transforming how the function works through data-driven, AI-enabled ways of working, improved insights, and smarter processes. Partnering with procurement, data, and technology teams, you'll help ensure solutions are user-focused, fit for purpose, and aligned to business priorities.
About You | Mōu
You're naturally curious, analytical, and enjoy solving complex business problems. You thrive in environments where you can engage with stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and turn ideas into practical outcomes. You're comfortable moving between business and technical conversations, and you're excited by the opportunity to help shape how data and AI are used in Procurement.
Exposure to Procurement, Supply Chain, SAP, data and analytics, or digital transformation environments would be advantageous. We're equally interested in people who bring strong analytical thinking, business partnering skills, and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
Other skills and experience include:
- Around 5 years' experience in business or data analysis roles, ideally on complex projects or programmes in large organisations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to accountability and helping others grow
- Proven experience optimising systems and processes, and managing requirements and constraints across the delivery lifecycle
- Working knowledge of data analytics reporting, design, and data quality, with exposure to data platforms and engineering tools
- A strategic, results-focused mindset, with the ability to understand complex requirements to develop fit-for-purpose analytics solutions
