General Medicine is an acute adult health service at Auckland City Hospital comprised of 5 General Medicine wards. Each ward has a subspecialty of medicine which we will be happy to discuss in further detail during your interview.

Our Medicine wards provide structured orientation and on-going professional development, coaching and support. If you are passionate about the delivery of high-quality care, teamwork and continuing education, then we would love to hear from you.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

A passion for General Medicine and complex care
Excellent communication and people skills
To be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with an Annual Practicing Certificate.
Acute hospital experience, preferably in General Medicine
If you lack NZ acute experience but have proven overseas emergency or acute experience, then please apply.
