Full job description

We are a locally owned hospitality group with 3 venues in the Auckland area (Ponsonby, Dominion Rd & Auckland CBD), and we are currently seeking a talented duty manager to join our team. This position is for the PONSONBY outlet.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for serving all customers at the bar and within the bar counter predominantly but you may be required to serve the general venue as well, in a courteous and professional manner at all times while contributing to a safe and enjoyable environment to work in. Theis role requires you to provide an unforgettable experience for our customers, you are to image our company at all time. Tasks include but is not limited to seating guests, making recommendations, explaining the service style & items on offer, ordering & ensuring your guests are well looked after among other side duties, clearing emplty plates & glasses off tables, resetting tables in a timely manner to accommodate your next guests. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of self presentation, cleanliness of the venue at all times to reflect the brand, and safety in the venue for guests as well as staff.

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • Previous waiting experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred but we are happy to train up the right candidate
  • Previous bar experience
  • Strong interest & some knowledge of food & beverage
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • A passion for hospitality & excellence
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
