Full job description

We are based in Auckland CBD and are looking for a hotel service manager to join our team and help manage our building portfolios.

Job description:

· Welcome and register guests once they arrive.

· Take client bookings for rooms and on website, email bookings, and all other sources

· Manage the hotel/motel website for enquiries and others.

· Run the hotel with target budgets and follow up on payment invoices to accounts

· Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in building.

· Market the sales establishment via media and by person.

· Oversee personnel including receptionist, kitchen staff, and office employees.

· Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service.

· Collect payments and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses.

· Resolve issues regarding hotel services, amenities, and policies.

· Organize activities and assign responsibilities to employees to ensure productivity.

· Create and apply a marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services and amenities.

· Coordinate with external parties including suppliers, travel agencies, Case officers and conference planners for bookings.

· Evaluate hotel performance and ensure compliance with health and safety rules.

· Inspect the grounds, public areas and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness

· Ensure company standards for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met

· Answer guest questions about hotel services and policies

· Keep track of the hotel's financials

· Monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are happy

· Coordinate front-office and back-office activities and resolve any problems

· Follow the Set budgets for room rates and allocate funds

· Deal with Case officers for bookings, and follow up for the pending invoices.

· Monitor customer activities inside the building

Requirements:

Hospitality or business administration-related qualification or 3 years relevant experience required.

Candidates with experience in dealing with aggressive guests and property trespassers will be preferred, but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00 – $36.00 per hour
