• Waiter (3 Positions) - Full-Time/Permanent Location: Palmerston North City, Manawatu-Wanganui Company: SSP Enterprises Limited Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour Hours: Minimum Guaranteed 30 hours per week, up to a maximum of 60 hours per week

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the restaurant and help them find suitable seating. Make sure tables are clean, properly arranged and ready for customers before each service. Provide menus, explain available dishes and help customers choose meals according to their preferences. Take food and drink orders carefully and pass them to the kitchen for preparation. Bring prepared meals and drinks to customers, making sure everything is served correctly and on time. Attend to customers throughout their visit, including providing water, extra cutlery and other items when needed. Handle customer requests and address minor service concerns in a friendly and professional manner. Remove used plates, glasses and cutlery once customers have finished their meals. Clean and reset tables promptly so they are ready for the next customers. Prepare bills, collect payments and handle cash and electronic transactions through the POS system. Keep the dining area tidy, organised and welcoming, particularly during busy service periods. Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure customers receive efficient and consistent service.

Prerequisite Experience: Applicants must have either:

• An NZQF Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or an equivalent qualification; OR At least 6 months of relevant work experience in place of the formal qualification.
