The Won is a Korean restaurant and bar bringing pocha culture to Christchurch — Korean fried chicken, share plates, a soju and makgeolli bar program, and private karaoke rooms. We're growing, and we're looking for a Front of House team member to help us deliver a great guest experience every shift.

Day to day, you'll:

• Greet and seat guests, take orders, and run food and drinks to the table
• Manage service flow across lunch and dinner sittings, including our private karaoke rooms
• Drive anju upselling — pairing food with drinks to help guests get more out of their visit
• Operate our POS system (Tevalis) accurately, including split bills and payments
• Handle guest questions and complaints calmly and professionally, escalating where needed
• Keep the floor, bar area, and karaoke rooms clean, stocked, and guest-ready
• Support our social media presence — our FOH team regularly features in Instagram/TikTok content, so comfort in front of a camera is a plus, not a requirement
• Hit team KPIs around average spend per head and drinks attach rate (full training provided)

What we're looking for:

• Hospitality or customer service experience preferred, not essential
• Reliable and comfortable on your feet during busy evening and weekend shifts — our peak nights are Friday and Saturday
• Team player who can stay composed under pressure
• Interest in Korean food, drink, or pop culture is a genuine bonus
• Right to work in New Zealand

Training & support:

• Full onboarding through our FOH training manual, covering compliance (RSA/alcohol service once our licence is reinstated), POS systems, upselling technique, and service standards
• Ongoing coaching from an experienced management team

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
