About the Role

Cafe Irresistiblue, located at Monavale Blueberries in the scenic Waikato region, is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our team on a part-time basis.

This role is ideal for someone looking for weekend work, primarily scheduled on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the added opportunity to work occasional evening functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Assist the chef with basic food prep and kitchen service duties.
  • Kitchen Hygiene & Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Dishwashing: Efficiently manage dishwashing and clean-up during busy service periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with front and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements & Skills

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred, though a strong work ethic and positive attitude are most important.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Reliable transport to Cambridge, Monavale.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and occasional evening functions.
