Full job description
Ajisen Ramen Takapuna is looking for an experienced Floor Supervisor to join our friendly team.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations
- Lead and support the service team during busy periods
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service
- Take orders, serve food and process payments accurately
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve service issues professionally
- Train new team members and maintain service standards
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth and timely service
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning and cash-handling procedures
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures are followed
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous restaurant or hospitality experience
- Have supervisory or team-leadership experience
- Be confident, responsible and well organised
- Have strong communication and customer-service skills
- Be able to work effectively in a busy restaurant
- Be available for evening, weekend and public-holiday shifts
- Hold valid New Zealand working rights
Japanese restaurant experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.
