Job Description

Avani Queenstown Hotel is looking for enthusiastic and versatile Bartender / Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team. Part Time- and Full-Time positions available.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work across both bar and floor service, delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to guests from around the world. Whether you're preparing cocktails, providing attentive table service, or sharing local recommendations, you'll play an important role in bringing the Avani experience to life.

You'll join a collaborative team that values great service, positive energy and creating memorable moments for every guest.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beer and wine
• Provide attentive food and beverage service, including taking orders and delivering meals
• Deliver professional, friendly and engaging service to all guests
• Recommend menu items and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience
• Maintain clean, stocked and organised bar and service areas
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure seamless service
• Contribute to a positive and professional team environment
• Comply with all health, hygiene and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Flexible roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in bartending and/or food & beverage service
• Strong product knowledge and confidence preparing classic cocktails
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and professional attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
