The Greek House Restaurant is looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Front of House Staff Member to join our team for the upcoming busy period.

Position: Front of House Staff

Employment type: Part-time

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

Expected start: Mid to late November 2026

About the role

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working with customers and can provide welcoming, professional service in a busy restaurant environment.

Key duties

· Welcome customers and provide friendly front-of-house service.

· Take customer orders accurately and communicate orders with the kitchen.

· Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner.

· Assist with table setup, clearing tables and maintaining clean dining areas.

· Respond to customer questions and assist with menu information.

· Process customer payments and operate the restaurant POS system.

· Assist with takeaway and customer orders when required.

· Support the team during busy lunch and dinner services.

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service.

· Follow restaurant procedures, health and safety requirements and management instructions.

· Work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.

· Assist with opening, closing and general restaurant duties as required.

Skills and experience

· Previous restaurant or customer-service experience of 6–12 months is preferred.

· Freshers are also welcome to apply.

· Good communication and customer-service skills.

· Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.

· Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.

· Positive attitude and professional presentation.

· Availability for approximately 20 hours per week, including some evenings and/or weekends as required.

Training provided

Full training will be provided on restaurant procedures, customer service, POS operation, menu knowledge and other role requirements.

Recruitment process
