About us
TGW Home Limited is a growing bricklaying business based in Silverdale, Auckland. We work on residential building projects across Auckland Region

Our workload has grown steadily, and we are looking for two experienced Bricklayers to join our team.

The role
You will work on site laying bricks and blocks on new residential builds, extensions and repairs. Your duties will include:

  • Reading and interpreting building plans and specifications
  • Setting out work and checking levels, plumb and alignment
  • Laying bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry units to build and repair walls, partitions, arches, piers and other structures
  • Mixing mortar and grout to the correct consistency
  • Cutting and shaping bricks and blocks with hand and power tools
  • Installing wall ties, flashings, lintels and reinforcing as required
  • Finishing and pointing joints for a clean, high-quality finish
  • Erecting and working safely from scaffolding and working platforms
  • Keeping the site tidy and following all health and safety procedures

What we’re looking for

  • At least 1 years’ experience as a bricklayer, OR a relevant bricklaying qualification (such as the NZ Certificate in Bricklaying and Blocklaying, Level 4, or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of bricklaying and blocklaying techniques
  • Ability to read building plans
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather
  • Reliable, with a strong focus on safety and quality

What we offer

  • Pay of $28 – $45 per hour, depending on skills and experience
  • Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, with up to 50 hours per week available
  • Full-time, permanent employment
  • Steady work with a growing company

Work location: Auckland Region
Start date: As soon as possible
