Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our team for residential and commercial roofing projects across the Auckland region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a range of roofing systems, including metal and membrane roofs. The role requires the ability to work independently under general supervision and involves both technical skill and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair roofing systems, including metal sheets, TPO membranes, insulation, and underlayments.
  • Measure, cut, and fit roofing materials to roof structures with accuracy.
  • Install roof flashings, ridges, valleys, caps, and other waterproofing components.
  • Identify faults and carry out corrective repairs on roofing systems.
  • Operate roofing tools and equipment such as nail guns, staplers, drills, grinders, and cutters.
  • Set up and dismantle access equipment including harnesses, scaffolding, and ladders.
  • Remove old or damaged roofing materials and ensure safe and tidy worksites.
  • Follow and uphold all health and safety policies and site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining the ability to perform tasks independently when required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time relevant roofing experience (metal or membrane systems preferred).
  • Proven ability to install roofing systems with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with or the ability to install flashing systems (e.g., step flashing, apron flashing, edge flashing, etc.).
  • Competence using a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Physically fit, comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive work ethic.
  • Willingness to undertake further on-the-job training and upskilling as required.
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment and/or random drug testing as part of company health and safety procedures.

Training & Development:
While prior experience is required, ongoing on-the-job training and upskilling will be provided to align with our company’s standards and roofing systems.
