Full job description

- Lead regional planning and improvement to strengthen access, equity, capacity and service performance.
- Provide regional leadership for radiology service delivery across Te Manawa Taki.
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.
We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations - from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.
Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.
About the Role
As the Regional Radiology Delivery Lead, you provide regional leadership to improve radiology service delivery, performance, access, equity and quality across Te Manawa Taki. Working with district, regional and national leaders, you lead the delivery of agreed priorities, monitor performance and support effective decision-making and continuous improvement.
You lead regional planning and coordination to optimise service capacity, improve timely and equitable access, reduce variation and implement nationally agreed service models. Through strong relationships and collaboration, you drive a more consistent, coordinated approach to radiology delivery, supporting improved patient pathways and achievement of health targets.
About You
You are an experienced senior health service leader with a strong track record in operational and service management within a complex healthcare environment. You bring essential public sector and health sector experience, a systems-wide understanding of hospital and community-based service delivery, and knowledge of strategy development, facilities and asset management.
You are skilled at managing complexity and risk while maintaining high service standards. With strong relationship management, communication and influencing skills, you bring clinical, operational and executive stakeholders together to deliver shared priorities, balance regional needs with national objectives, and drive sustainable improvements in access, equity and service performance.
