We are looking for a Permanent Part-Time Café Assistant to join our busy team at Muffin Break Bayfair, Tauranga.

Hours & Availability:

• Must be available to work Saturdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM (shift lengths vary from 5 to 8 hours within this timeframe).
• Availability to work Sundays is highly preferable.
• There is also the possibility of additional Thursday or Friday late-night shifts (4:30 PM – 8:30 PM) on a fluctuating basis.

This position could suit a high school or university student, or someone looking for weekend/supplementary work. Experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given. We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking, and friendly people who enjoy working in a fast-paced, fun environment. A passion for food, customer service, and coffee is a must!

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to use initiative, be proactive, and be a strong team player.
• Be outgoing, friendly, and possess strong customer service skills.
• Have a genuine interest and passion for food, coffee, and building good customer relationships.
• Be willing to learn and carefully follow instructions.
• Have reliable transport to and from work.
• MUST be able to work Saturdays.
• Ideally be available to work late-night shifts and/or Sundays.
• Previous experience as a barista or relevant baking/food prep skills are a benefit, but not essential.

What we offer: Full training will be provided for this position, which involves both in-store practical work and online training modules.
