We are now seeking permanent full time and part time support workers to join our Homecare team in Nelson.


Te Mahi/About the Position

As a Support Worker in Nelson you will be working within the community supporting a variety of individuals to support them to live happy and meaningful lives. A day in this role will see you:

  • Following a care plan, to provide support with personal care and household duties,
  • Completing such tasks as assistance with showering, dressing, mobility, medication support, hosiery application; housework and meal preparation supports,
  • Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community,
  • Using your personal vehicle to drive between scheduled visits,
  • Representing Nurse Maude in your professional presentation and approach to each client and their Whanau,

Hours of work:

  • We are seeking employees to work approximately 20 - 40 hours per week.
  • Operating Monday through Sunday, the successful permanent applicants will be offered guaranteed hours and agreed work times, inclusive of morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • Having availability to work at least alternate weekends is preferred

  • Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position, including bending, crouching, and long periods of time on your feet.
  • Hold a full New Zealand driver licence and have your own reliable transport.
  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
