About the Role

You will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning and custodial services across various commercial sites in Auckland. This includes general cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, and ensuring all areas are maintained to a professional standard.

Work hours include early mornings, late evenings, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, so flexibility is essential. We offer guaranteed 30 hours a week work with availability to work overtime. We currently have three vacancies to fill.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Vacuuming carpets, curtains and upholstered furniture
• Cleaning, dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, fittings and surfaces
• Removing rubbish and recyclable materials; emptying bins, trays and containers
• Stripping wax from floors; re-waxing, buffing and polishing floors
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, laundry areas and plumbing fixtures
• Replenishing bathroom and hygiene supplies and reporting defective fixtures
• Operating commercial/industrial vacuum cleaners and cleaning machines
• Removing dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes and high surfaces
• Cleaning stairwells, lifts and public areas
• Washing, wiping and disinfecting surfaces and work areas
• Using approved chemicals (including acids and solvents where required) to remove stains and grime
• Maintaining and organising cleaning equipment and supplies
• Following correct colour-coding methods to prevent cross-contamination
• Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Supporting additional deep-cleaning tasks such as machine cleaning, tank cleaning or pressure-washing as required

Requirements

• At least 6 months of cleaning experience is desired, not mandatory.
• Class 1 NZ driver licence or overseas equivalent or ability to obtain one.
• Friendly, positive and customer-focused attitude
• Physically fit, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Availability and willingness to work 7 days a week including weekends, late evenings, night shifts, early mornings and on public holidays.
• You must have your own vehicle to drive from one site to another, the fuel cost will be reimbursed by the company.
