Full job description

We are seeking reliable seasonal outdoor workers for physically demanding berry farm and land-based maintenance work near Onewhero. The role involves hands-on outdoor labour similar to orchard, planting, and general horticulture work.

Main Duties:

  • Berry picking and harvesting
  • Planting, replanting and crop maintenance
  • Clearing old plants, weeds, vegetation and farm waste
  • Moving trays, crates, tools, posts, covers and farm materials
  • Assisting with irrigation lines, crop covers, tunnel/field setup and outdoor site preparation
  • Cleaning work areas, equipment and trays
  • Other general outdoor farm, planting and land-maintenance duties as required

Requirements:

  • Physically capable of hard outdoor manual labour
  • Able to stand, bend, crouch, walk, lift, carry and push items for long periods
  • Able to work in hot, cold, wet, windy or dusty conditions
  • Available for weekend work and up to 6 days per week during peak season
  • Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
  • Previous farming, orchard, horticulture, forestry, planting, vegetation clearing or outdoor labour experience preferred
  • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

First priority to New Zealanders.
