Full job description

G.S & SONS COMPANY LIMITED is looking for Cleaners to join its team in the Auckland region. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment by carrying out a range of cleaning duties to a high standard. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to delivering quality service while supporting the overall operational efficiency of the company. The role requires travel within the Auckland region, and the cost of travel and fuel will be covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Empty bins, containers, and waste receptacles, ensuring rubbish and recyclable materials are disposed of in accordance with environmental and workplace guidelines.
  • Operate commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and polishers, to maintain high standards of cleanliness across work areas and client premises.
  • Clean ceilings, walls, windows, fixtures, and other surfaces to remove dust, dirt, stains, and debris.
  • Apply appropriate cleaning chemicals and solutions to effectively remove marks, stains, and residue from various surfaces while following health and safety procedures.
  • Polish floors as required to maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance.
  • Complete routine cleaning inspections and maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and maintenance requirements.
  • Carry out scheduled deep cleaning and assist with specialised cleaning tasks, including end-of-tenancy cleans, event preparation, and post-construction cleaning where required.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, hazards, or repair requirements to management in a timely manner.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks related to cleaning duties to support the efficient operation of the workplace.
  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and other wet areas, ensuring all fixtures are hygienic, functional, and well maintained.
  • Monitor cleaning equipment and supplies, replenishing stock as required to ensure all cleaning tasks can be completed efficiently.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $24 to $28 per hour.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory, as we provide full training.
  • Valid and clean driver’s License.
  • Flexible availability to work weekends and varied shift times as required.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and hardworking.
  • Physically fit to meet the requirements of the role.

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
