About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and passionate Breakfast Chef / Café Cook to join our busy café team on weekends.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a café kitchen, preparing delicious breakfast and brunch dishes, and handling busy weekend breakfast services efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time weekend work in a friendly and supportive café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes to a high standard.
• Confidently prepare eggs in all styles, including poached, scrambled, fried and omelettes.
• Prepare popular café dishes such as Eggs Benedict, big breakfasts, pancakes, French toast, sandwiches and other brunch items.
• Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch services.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Complete food preparation and kitchen setup before service.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately and served on time.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Café Cook or Short-Order Cook is essential.
• Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch cooking.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café kitchen.
• Confidence managing a busy breakfast service.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
• Ability to work independently when required.
