Labourer — Space Transformers New Zealand Ltd

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (standard hours 40 per week, Monday–Friday)

Pay Rate: NZ$24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience

We specialise in transforming outdoor residential and commercial areas into luxurious, functional, year-round living spaces. Due to rapid growth and high market demand, we are seeking reliable Labourers to join our production team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for hardworking, reliable Labourers to join our growing manufacturing team, supporting the production of premium aluminium pergola and louver systems. No prior experience is required, full training will be provided. However, prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment will be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in manufacturing, with genuine opportunities to develop skills over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly and fabrication of pergola and louver components
• Move, load, and unload materials and finished products, including some manual lifting
• Support machine operators and tradespeople with day-to-day production tasks
• Carry out basic quality checks on components and finished products
• Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organised
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet daily targets

Skills and Experience Required

• No prior experience necessary - full training provided
• Experience in a manufacturing, factory, or production environment is preferred but not essential
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Able to follow instructions and work well within a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Employment Conditions

• This is a genuine, ongoing full-time position, guaranteeing a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Pay rate meets or exceeds the New Zealand minimum wage and reflects the current market rate for this occupation
• All employment terms comply with New Zealand employment law, including the Employment Relations Act 2000, Minimum Wage Act 1983, and Holidays Act 2003
• A written employment agreement will be provided in accordance with legal requirements
