About the Role

The Radiology Department is requiring a well organised person to fill a full-time, permanent Booking Clerk position. You will be learning several different booking roles in order to provide cover or assistance when required. The role works alongside other Radiology Booking Clerks and Medical Imaging Technologist coordinating imaging appointments directly with patients or ward staff.


Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a waitlist and booking patients accordingly
  • Communicating with staff, patients and their families
  • Ensuring the correct preparation for examinations is clearly communicated

About the Team/Service

Our team of 20 provide admin support to the Radiology Departments various modalities including CT, Ultrasound, X-ray and Nuclear Medicine.


About you

We are looking for an individual who is process driven, reliable and motivated.

The successful candidate would need to clearly demonstrate;

  • Experience with waitlist management, scheduling and/or co-ordinating medical appointments
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, pleasant phone manner
  • Flexibility i.e. able to cope with sudden changes in priorities
  • Ability to manage tasks of a complex nature and excellent time management skills
