Its pretty busy no time to really slack off. time goes by fast

Indeed Featured review

8-hour shift none stop working. I learned how to use power lifts and jacks. The management was motivational at times but you could tell the shift in mood towards you if you didn't come in for days off or when you wouldn't stay longer for a shift. Other than that it was good management. The hardest part of the job was learning how to throw the trucks in the morning within 3 hours.

Fast paced work, one of the best work models I have ever worked in.

Working at Aldi was one of the most physical jobs I have had, it requires a self starting attitude and constant attention to detail. The relationships between employees, customers, and management is one thing that I appreciated.Management was very good at Aldi, questions were always welcome. The pace at Aldi is fast but helping each other is top priority. I learned so much during my 6 years at ALDI that it is hard to put it all down.

Pros

Fast paced, good pay, good benefits and good training.

Cons

Tired feet at the end of shifts, not always having enough people to work.

Great benefits and Pay

Toxic work culture, lots of drama and gossip as well as inappropriate relationships between management and selectors. Great pay and benefits though..

Decent job

It's a good job that allows you to interact with customers if that's your thing. Management is pretty hit or miss. I worked at two stores that had good management and one store that had management that was so bad I chose to leave the company. Management will decide your shifts/schedule and can make or break a shift.

Terrible Environment

They do their very best to minimize company payout to employees leaving stores understaffed and over worked. Unrealistic expectations as far as unloading pallets as fast as possible. Near impossible to get in touch with anyone higher up to get things resolved. Little to no proper training for most areas which screw their employees over if a regular calls out.

Let go unexpectedly

Some nice people but was offered temporary contract and promised it would be extended however after the Christmas period was over and less staff were clearly needed, was let go. Job is 100mph most employees nice but management expect too much

Pros

good discount at Christmas

Cons

too fast paced and expectations too high

Decent

Pay was good, decent workplace, went downhill after I hurt myself working and had to take some time off but that Was probably a combination of their fault and mine, in terms of warehouse jobs they are probably the best to work for

Pay is good but very poor management. Lazy supervisors.

Very poor management. The nature of the job is not hard. Workers work hard only when is time to leave and end up working overtime everyday. I love the weekly pay

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Long unorganized hours

Bullying and lying by management

It was always a great place to work until the last 10 years when they brought in an immorally flawed system and management. When the company got big greed took over and it became an extremely toxic place to work. Anything that was enjoyable was taken away

Pros

Starting pay

Cons

No transparency, bullying and nit picking by management, work practices that damage your body

Receiving 3rd shift

Overworked, paid okay but MGMT doesn't care about anything but their goals and bonuses. So do your work and shut your mouth. They do not give you an exit time, others shift have exit times. They take trucks even after cut off which extends our night. Basically if you wanna b micro MGMT and just work then it's a great place. Dnt have other plans in personal life because they make u choose a job or a life.

Bad business plan

Store Managers not managers at all. Company does not care about knowledge or skillset. You are simply another drone to them. No opportunity for advancement.

Not for the faint hearted

Extremely fast paced, expectations and targets are enforced by management from early induction stages to your role. I was once threatened with dismissal if I wasn’t able to work faster on the shop floor but was reassured that my till speed was “one of the best”. The staff costs are kept low meaning that people are overworked at times and stores remain understaffed to cope with customer demand. Colleges were great to work with, the area manager was also really approachable. Good pay, paid for breaks and x1.5 on bank holidays.

Stay Away

The first thing I heard when I was training was to “stay away” by a coworker going by. I continued to work here for about 4 months. Management is horrible. They harass you and watch your every move, waiting to find something to write you up for. They LOVE to write people up and get them in trouble for something. It’s a very physical job so it’s only a matter of time before you get hurt. Once you get hurt, they easily replace you. You never know when you’ll be off, zero work-life balance. You can work anywhere from 6-14 hours all while being expected to pick at their unrealistic work pace. Everyone is miserable including the managers, hence the reason the majority of them aren’t very nice and will make your day miserable. Do. Not. Work. Here.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Going home at some point

Stressed and overworked

Don't work for this company if you like your sanity! A major task not listed in the description of this job, constantly having to clean up disgusting messes in the bathroom, like daily.

Awful

Awful job.. never again.. should’ve gone sooner.Overworked underpaid disrespectful managers… Not all stores are the same but if your applying for martlesham store 119 then don’t

Empresa horrible
