Hard work
Sample Preparation Technician (Former Employee) - Moncton, NB - 16 January 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThis place will work you to the bone to meet quotas and if you meet them they push even harder, they'll replace you in a heartbeat once you enviable burn out. Training here is like a terrible game of telephone, your trainer doesn't know most of the job, their trainer didn't either and the supervisor definitely doesn't know. Management acts as though they are always right and have all the answers, but when any problems arise they act as though you should know what to do and offer no assistance.
Cons
Mandatory holidays, mandatory overtime, management that cares only about bottom line

Alright
Fire Marshal (Former Employee) - Different locations - 23 May 2022
If your liked in the company you’ll be well on your way to getting shifts. On the down side, if your not liked by the managers/supervisors, you’ll be watched like a hawk

Bad Management
Shipping & Receiving Assistant (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 5 April 2022
Very bad company because they are paying very low rate to their employees. Most Managers in Winnipeg Als branch behave very bad and too much gossips environment. In shipping and receiving their management put allot of work load. With receiving, shipping, & driving, etc, they put allot of work beside it. They are expecting everything from that shipping department which is not fair. They are just paying $16.00 in shipping and receiving department, and you have to work like crazy. They just put 2 persons in shipping most of time, which is not fair as they demand allot of work. I felt too much stress worked in this company! When someone quit in that department then they took atleast more then one month to hire 2nd person. Very slow and poor management.
Pros
They cut 30 minutes break time

A good company to work for.
Director, Minerals Division Geochemistry (Current Employee) - Reno, NV - 21 February 2022
There is lots to learn but the supervisors and managers are open, nice and helpful. It is interesting if you like science, chemistry and geology. Lots of different jobs available, and as much overtime as you want to work.
Pros
Flexible and interesting
Cons
have to wear some safety equipment, but not to bad.

Eight Years With ALS
Shift Supervisor (Former Employee) - Sudbury, ON - 16 February 2022
As with any company there ware good times and bad, but more the former and, I was always treated fairly and respectfully by management. If you're willing to show up and work hard you will eventually see advancement. Most of the tasks you'll be asked to do are repetitive and at times a bit mind numbing but if you're the type of person who likes to know exactly what to expect at work from day to day that might be a good thing.
Pros
Full time, Benefits, Vaccation
Cons
Physically demanding, fast paced

Too much internal politics and empire building
Account Manager (Former Employee) - Canning Vale WA - 3 February 2022
The management profess to be family oriented, but it is not that way at all, especially among middle management. The expectations discussed during the interview process is totally different to actual expectations once you begin working there.

Get the experience and leave
Laboratory Assistant (Former Employee) - Waterloo, ON - 26 January 2022
Only hire people with a degree (and state that in the hiring process that it is required) although they pay you like you don't need one. It isn't even a requirement when you look at the contract (which is why they are allowed to pay you so low). I was bullied in my department on day shift for three months and it was my first job out of university. They train you on day shift even if you are not hired for day shift for no apparent reason other than the team lead on days likes to play favorites and thinks they are superior. If the team lead doesn't like you then expect to be ignored and treated even worse. Extremely cliquey and do not have any sort of proper training system which is frustrating. I can't even describe how terrible my training was, it was not linear whatsoever and you feel terrible if you did something wrong because trainers will make you feel that way. Once I was on afternoon shift things were so much easier and all of my co-workers were nice and wonderful, a complete shift of energy it was like day and night. Had independence in my job and was always trusted that I knew what I was doing and had an amazing team lead. Good job to learn and get experience working in a lab, however the pay is terrible for how hard you work and are rarely recognized for it. Benefits kick in if you aren't laid off which they usually do once winter hits. Have an unfair system of obtaining a full-time role, as some get it after three months and some after nine for no reason whatsoever. They pay is alright if you get the afternoon premium but much too low on day shift and not even worth -
Pros
Nice people (on afternoon/night shift), Independence on the job (once you are trained), Lab experience
Cons
Low pay, No proper training system in place, Favoritism

Ambiente lavorativo molto corretto professionalmente
Software developer (Current Employee) - Savigliano, Piemonte - 30 December 2021

Great place to work!
Manager (Current Employee) - Kamloops, BC - 17 December 2021
Typical day at work includes working on projects from various international companies. A variety of techniques are used to produce the final product. Staff are trained on site to successfully carry out procedures. Safety is a priority! Workplace culture includes team efforts from management to the newest employee. Coworkers are great, the variety of work keeps things interesting and the hours are fantastic!
Pros
Collaborative work opportunities, varied work, great safety culture and fantastic coworkers

Good if you are looking for something short term
Lab Assistant (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 16 December 2021
Fast paced temporary position. Don't expect to become a permanent employee. Repetitive work, but easy once you get used to it. Good if you are looking for something to do for a couple months, but that's about it.

Company Asks to much
As someone who has worked here for years, as a tech, lead, etc. i would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The pay is really bad, same type of companies paying $5 more an hour to do the same thing. Inconsistent raises. No opportunity to move up, unless your cool or friends with Management, even people who are more qualified for positions, get overlooked. If they don't like you or don't think your a good enough worker, they will build up a case of info/portfolio of things against you, no matter how petty, just so they can get rid of you. Human Resources department gossips and talks about your private problems with other front office employees. They do not address your problems or issues , they just sweep it under the rug. They expect you to do more than what is required of you of your job, even if it means putting your work on hold and doing someone else’s. Currently working here, and currently feeling abused!!
Pros
Nothing much, if anything at all
Cons
Management, benefits, pay

Only good for people right out of school
Fire Assay Technician (Former Employee) - Reno, NV - 15 November 2021
They always want more and more and if they get it, its still not enough. If you're not friends with the management then you can forget about getting moved up. If you are eligible for a raise and don't know it then they aren't going to give it to you unless someone speaks up. They are constantly looking for stuff they can take away and save money on even if it means upsetting all of there employees i.e. taking away paid holidays, salary freezes, no new tools etc. The raises are unreliable and minimal, you cant make even a decent living working here unless you get hired on at just the right time and become buddy-buddy with management and even then you have to stick it out for several years with no hope, and even then they will consider someone who is less experienced just because they like them more . They claim to have standards in people and quality but if it comes to making them look good they will gladly switch up and tweak things here and there to try and save their reputation. Bottom line is it's good if you just need some sort of employment. It's not a career path though. They continuously fall behind on keeping up with the local economy and paying employees enough.
Pros
longer than normal breaks(for fire assay), flexible schedule
Cons
Raises, extremely poor upper management

Fun place to work, hours are up and down.
Supervisor/Manager (Former Employee) - Silver foam - 4 November 2021
Could be a 12 hour day could be a 3 hour day. This is like this almost everyday with it being in the automobile industry. Most people are temps with no chance of getting hired on.
