Good employer if you find the right job
My time at anz was pretty good. the contact centre is kinda average though. The amount of support and training they can give you is amazing. The pressure to succeed... not some much

Political and Favouritism galore
No room for career advancement and poor training, you’re expected to learn a years worth of knowledge in 4 weeks, watch that get cut down with no explanation, a lot of empty words with no follow ups, over promise and under deliver in every regard, then there’s management, you’ll either love or hate your boss as per usual, but it’s a political game here, if your boss loves you you’ll go far, if they don’t like you you’ll never move forward and feel like you’re forced to quit, I saw first hand people that had been there for years not getting picked for a role over someone younger and more attractive, it’s ridiculous, Everything is out dated systems are slow and unreliable, policies are that tight you can’t blink without breaking a rule, you’re micro managed to every little detail, it’s horrible. They claim to be NZs leading bank, but working for them shows what they’re really like, full of mean nasty people that get a kick out of seeing you fail.

Not recommended
Trainers were quick to bully new employees. When we tried to speak out or question something with learning aspects, we were shut down and told to take on feedback more.

Great place to work at. Fantastic facilities and a great social atmosphere
Everyday was a busy day and that made for full and fun times. Some stress but that's only to be expected in the role I had. I learnt lots of technical stuff and really enjoyed my time there

Interview Questions

I loved my 12 years at ANZ. Apart from my Karaoke Operating this was by far my longest job. I was popular amongst the staff and anz networks. I made awesome friends whom I still keep in contact. I've spent over 20 years in contact centre and the culture and learning was second to none that I've ever experienced
