Productive and inventive place to work where you can create your own processes
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Former Employee) - Ashburn, VA - 25 September 2019
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThis specific office is very small so there's a sense of community and friendship within the office. They are still figuring out a system within the office so if you're someone who enjoys creating your own processes than you'll enjoy the environment there.

Awful, worst company to work for
Caregiver (Former Employee) - State College, PA - 26 January 2023
Awful. over worked and underpaid. Was called several times a day on my days off to come in and cover another person's shift even though I was a student in class. Poorly managed as a whole.

What is the best part of working at the company? At first it was great What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They had me drive all over to get 8 hrs Which was fine until my calibers went out. They tried forcing me to take an uber an hr away. They mentioned reimbursement but I was still waiting for that from 4 months prior. Which I never saw...and I left 5 yrs ago. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Bad. You either brown nose or nothing. It doesnt matter how well you do your job just how much you brown nose. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Show up get sent 10000 places

This place is a joke
Customer Care Supervisor (Former Employee) - Amarillo, TX - 9 January 2023
Management is unreliable and unhelpful. Your day is mainly spent of arguing with nurses who pick and choose what they want to do. So scheduling is a nightmare

Flexibility
In Home Caregiver (Current Employee) - Saint Charles, IL - 6 January 2023
For me personally it’s very lonely. I’m used to working as part of a team and now it’s me and the client. Sometimes I interact with the family members. That’s the price I pay to be able to take time off when I want. I would never be able to support myself with this job. Luckily for me I have another source of income. This is a great job for a nursing student. As for as the management at BrightStar they treat me with respect and also I have received a bonus this year. I feel appreciated!! If you want to do this type of work I highly recommend BrightStar.
Pros
Flexible schedule and wonderful clients
Cons
No benefits

The payment rate is low
Home Health Aide (HHA) (Current Employee) - Emerson, NJ - 12 December 2022
The manager and staff talk to you in a nasty and unprofessional way. The payment is little. The take you off from your case that suppose to be permanent to give to someone else if you have an emergency. Also, if you get hurt there while you have been working, they start disrespecting you. The family and the client think that you are a maid, nurse and you have to be working all of the time without letting to take easy for a minute. Brighstar offers a part time with a little payment about $15 go $16 an hour that is not enough to get $300 weekly nowdays
Pros
Scheduling flexobility
Cons
Payment rate

Independent work
Home Health Aide (Current Employee) - Norristown, PA - 11 December 2022
The people i worked for was great. The company was all over the place, there was no real management. They didn't care about my time or pay. I got a bonus and it showed on my pay stub and they gave it to me in my pay stub then took it back. When i noticed it they sent me cash for it and they was short, i never got my orientation pay, was told it would be in my check. Guess what? Never got that either or paid for my travel expenses. My check has been messed up every pay period. I was forced to work overtime when my relief didn't show. After that the website didn't work so i had to call in to check in and she didn't put my time in correctly. It was a mess for the short period of time i worked there. I was told i would get a certain amount and when I checked my pay it wasn't that amount it was less than what I was told I was supposed to be getting.
Pros
Great clients, quick hire
Cons
Poor management, bad communication
