project management, on site measuring and quoting, sales knowledge, negotiaiotn skills and customer care. After sales care follow up and ensuring job complete to customer satisfaction. Trouble shooting and fixing problems on the spot on the job.

Process insurance claims for carpet and vinyl replacement and to work with insurers daily, measure and quote, organize carpet installers, schedule installation dates with customers, admin, invoicing.
Learnt that this role required a more structured process as I struggled with keeping up given the amount of claims coming through with just myself doing the job.

Management not very helpful just really dis engaged with process improvement and not willing to have this part of the business looked at especially with external clients IAG.

Workplace culture everyone too busy to help others no real team moral.

Hardest part of the job was just keeping up with the claims.

I didn't really enjoy this job sorry.

This is the fastest growing franchised flooring business in New Zealand and the most recognised brand according to research. Stake holders and some franchisees are investing heavily in branding, advertising, stock product and operations. They have an exclusive carpet product called Smart Strand that is leading the market and others that allow you to provide a comprehensive solution to customers looking to fit out a new home, investment property or commercial business. Training for sales staff has improved and a program implemented for new employees. Some shops run skeleton crews on the weekends and public holidays and unfortunately some customers feel let down if you can not attend to there needs immediately. Our staff are dedicated and prepared to work hard to be successful. Targets are based on business running costs but they are achievable. Staff have been trained to listen to there customers, have an enquiring mind, be informative, work smart and offer products that fit a customers requirements and budget.
This company is fun to work for and the staff have good internal relationships embrace the positive and help each other. Makes life a lot easier.

The best thing about this job is a happy customer and it's rare to get one that isn't if you keep an eye on sales process and follow up.
