Always short on staff
Deli job itself is hard work and at times is really busy. The lack of staff and lack of adequate training is an issue that needs addressing across the department.
Checkout Operator in Christchurch, Canterbury

Average
was alright mostly either stressful bc it’s busy or boring bc there’s no one shopping. customers can be weird tho was called “healthy” looking once. also the store is somehow always understaffed with supervisors so anytime a customer wants to buy alcohol (esp when busy), it takes so so long for them to come over and approve it each time.
Nightfill Assistant in Silverdale, Auckland

chill work place
It was chill the job wasn't physically hard but working hours were strange. We only had 3 of us working so it was kinda hard to work fast and refill all the shelves.

Cruisey and a good work environment
Awesome team mates with great work ethic , always giving 100% and getting the work done. Best part is the outcome of having the shop faced up looking good for the next day.

Productive and good environment
Working as a checkout operator gets better as you get more experienced. You get to interact with people and it makes you feel good in many aspects aswell
