Good People
A typical day is busy. With 297 rooms and a lot of convention space this property rarely sees a slow day. I have learned how to master multi-tasking, coordinating the staff, and pleasing the clientele. The hardest part of the job at times is turning irate customers perspectives' into a positive experience. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the ultimate experience of said guests be enriched into a positive experience.

Handled guest concerns, complaints, and any inquiries. Managed rates for the local property and online sites. I loved being the go to contact for the guest and for my employees. I was present at the property about 50 hours a week.

Fun workplace and room for advancement.
A typical day at Doubletree's front desk/office would first start off balancing revenue to ensure all money was accounted for. Throughout the day you would be taking reservations, checking guest in ant out of rooms, and assisting guests with any needs they may have. For maintenance, you would start buy getting the work orders for the day to see what repairs need to be done. Throughout the day in the maintenance department you would balance pool & spa chemicals, repair and replace light fixtures, outlets, and air conditioners, painting, and drywall repair. The hardest part of my job at Doubletree would have to be resisting to purchase food at the in house restaurant. I most enjoyed interacting with new people everyday.
Pros
fun workplace, good hours, getting to meet new people everyday
Cons
worked a lot of holidays (christmas, thanksgiving, ect)

Do not work here unless you are already friends with a member of management or you will be set up to fail from the beginning
Cons
hr is not concerned with actual hr issues, just with who will be there friend
