Initially enjoyable and pleasant place to work but a change and management and the hiring of some questionable and unpleasant to work with new employees made working there no longer enjoyable. Not particularly flexible or forgiving with the schedule.

I really learned a lot working at the Double Tree,I have met some awesome co workers and had the pleasure of meeting different guess and having a good report with the regulars .i have gon through some managers that were great and great teachers .so that's another why I want to stay in the Hilton Family .

Work there was great&the people were very nice.A day at work was nice&lade back.I learned how the head cook did paper work.Management was great to work with.Culture of people was nice.Hardest part was the standing.The most enjoyable part was the food.

Fun experience for hospitality
Co-workers and managers are very friendly. You're able to get first hand customer service skill from dealing with issues that customers experienced during their stay.
Pros

This was a job that allowed movement and opportunities to those who proved themselves as reliable employees. Spent many years in banquets and they allowed room for movement and opportunity.

Really enjoyable place to work, get to meet a lot of new people.
A typical day at work includes. checking guest in and out of the hotel assisting guest with any and all questions they have, while also manning the front desk, answering the phone and helping the other departments in the hotel.

Day to day
Maintain reading and logs on Chiller, Boiler, Gas, Water and Electricity meter on a daily base. Help team with daily task such as rebuilding toilets. Replaces lights, ceiling tiles, door locks.

great co-workers poor management
i love the Hilton company and Sage management company.
check guest in and out of hotel. setting up room blocks and pre-keying guest rooms for big group arrivals.


management did not stick to their words i was trying to get promoted for 1 year and kept getting the run around then they promote 2 co-workers i trained in.


the hardest part was being told something and it does not get done or mentioned and lack of communication.

great benifits
Clock in, check guest out of the hotel, assist guests in anything they may need, make copies, walk guests to meeting room, work on different pc programs, assist sales managers. Co workers were fun, kind friendly. Hardest part of the job would probably be some of the programs on the computer. The best part of the job would be helping the guests!
