Produvctive and fun work place
It is a good environment to work in, compared to two years ago, that place was much better, I reduced my hours there , however I do not want to quit, maybe in the future, it will regain it's brightness.

Not a fun work place. Very hostile work environment.
If you are not African American this is not a good kitchen to work at. Or anywhere in the back of the house. They are not equal opportunity employers

Work, with very little acknowlegement
Daily meeting to discus normal work issues, no acceptance of improvement. Upon termination of General Manager, entire staff worked relaxed and worked as a team

Learning Experience
You can learn anything from anyplace. Leave with something positive to improve yourself. The Doubletree, mainly the staff, has taught me more than I could have thought I would have learned.

I enjoyed doing Romm Service, was an interesting job experience
I would come in very early, open the kitchen, collect orders placed the night before for the morning. Fill the breakfast buffet and take orders that would come in throughout the morning into the early afternoon. I learned how to provide customer service and meet the demands of customers and a restaurant. I enjoyed being around my coworkers, and the kitchen management was good most days. The hardest part was keeping up with the initial rush of business in the morning, and I enjoyed being on my own as the roomservice person the most about the job.
Pros
free breakfasts
Cons
having to go to work at 5am
