The upper management was good. But supervisor and tram leads where very unsupportive and judge mental. Had a hard time made one mistake and that set the tone for the duration of my employment. Causing stress and depression badly.
A lot of work
To much gossip among supervisors and judge mental
This was the worst job ever! I worked here for a year before i decided to quit. They have supervisors that literally sit and watch you clean while making disgusting comments about how good you look or how women are supposed to clean while the men do other work, they will blow kisses at you and wink at you while you're cleaning. I specifically had a supervisor say "I don't care if you're on your period, Double up on pads and get back to work". They are constantly running out of cleaning product, gloves, toilet paper, soap/shampoo because they don't have enough budget. When they run out of cleaning product and gloves they force you to clean without gloves and use WATER to clean the bathrooms which is SO UNSANITARY. They only had 2 working vacuum cleaners so the rooms would go MONTHS without being vacuumed, they would just make us use a sticky lint roller to pick up things off the floor to make it look clean. The supervisor I had was (in his 40's) having relationships with a 20 year old housekeeper turned manager because of the relationship and they would always sneak off into a vacant room for hours on end. He also allowed her to bring her son into work, her, her mom (who also worked there) and the 2 year old would spend the whole day in a vacant room WHILE ON THE CLOCK basically babysitting instead of working. She was also always leaving while on the clock to get her nails done or go shopping then come back and show off to everyone. They don't have enough house keeping carts for all the housekeepers, so the housekeepers are always fighting for a cart or getting things stolen - more...
t is a serious work environment things are done fast, they have a good time management in each room, the work must be finished and started on time. They take care of their staff, they offer a 20 min lunch from their own kitchen. Good work team. It is a comfiable company.
Provided staff with benefits including food and further career development. Always follow the protocols to undergo training in WHMIS and ensure that customer were satisfied in their stay
great place to work and good rate
tiring job and slow rate increase
I very much enjoyed my time there. The management never failed to make me feel included. My coworkers were always cheerful and happy which in turn made me want to be like that as well. Often times you're alone which can be fine and you can also run into guests and converse for a bit. Pros: hours/ friendly staff/work lunches Cons: labor inducing/ always on feet/resisting urge to not fall asleep on beds
Working under the executive housekeeper was very beneficial, enjoyable, and helpful. They made it understandable
I learned to clean by company standards and O.S.H.A guidelines. I also learned to be quick and manage time. I learned how to be a excellent cleaner and to comply with guest.
Great work envoirment with hard workers.Always willing to help you if your running behind on your rooms. They will make sure you have a nice lunch which is paid for by them daily.Flexiable hours and room to move up in the department
A company that cares about its workers
There elevator is always broke
After 6 check outs and 10 stay overs that they said it’s the maximum you can’t finished on time depending on how dirty the rooms are , not enough fitter sheets for all the 🛏 More time doing beds with flat sheets , every day loose time on meeting and setting up the car , every day rush pushing to finish on time there suites rooms and with 7 checked outs it’s not easy , one of the supervisor are a person that write Rush on the rooms on your board to put more pressure on you always treating you with the manager, then she start calling you on the phone been there only 3 months and only some of the coworkers are nice and help to sheer you up, even the manager put you down just cause you pass half hour of time to finish the rooms , these are like I said suits big rooms to many to do a good time but you can trying it out but if you can there better places that pay more for the same job , the more stressful place that at ever work .
Good benefits and if you want to change departments it’s easy to do it
To much stress, no apreciación for housekeeping
Was flustered all day dident know where i was going no help felt very withdrawn like i dident want to be there. hard work but not very good at guideing you or building your confidence could walk around freel to do as a please not uniform no name tags.
Area manager Has not a time for any of employees. They do not respect any od people. They do not pay for holiday - disaster DO NOT GO TO WORK THERE!!!!
Manager sucks..Every morning the room tenant have to bring their own linen upstairs, houseman only dump linen once or twice a day room attendant bring they own linen upstairs dump own garbage sometimes dump own dirty linen..MANGER DON'T CARE IF THE LADIES HAVE ANYTHING TO WORK WITH BECAUSE ALL THE LADIES COME DOWN TWICE OR THREE TIME TO GET Lenin to start with & manger act like they don't see us taken linen up to the floors. When i was there they gave us 20/ 22 rms which 18 or 19 was vacant and dirty but nothing to start with.
