Ok benefits horrible management

The company as a whole is nice. Decent pto. Decent paid days off and a paid volunteer day. The pay is on par with most this company. Now management is a different story . Some mangers are great . They wanna help and be there for you when needed and they don’t bother you as long as you are doing well. Others micromanage you into oblivion. Hope you don’t get the latter.

Good work life balance, great mission of health from the top down to the bottom

The retail center was a pretty rough experience - the managers are all McDonald's-type micromanagers. Once I got to the work from home roles, it was better. Managers just expect you to get your job done and they leave you alone. It's not super easy to hit goal but not impossible. Offer bonuses, decent salary.

Great Benefits, Good Leadership

I enjoyed my time at Florida Blue. Many opportunities for growth. I only left during COVID, and the job completely changed and it was unknown when things would return to "normal".

Flexible, enjoyable place to work……..nurses are underpaid. Most health plans start nurses at what most of the nurses are currently making.

Educate members on their disease process. Educate members on preventative care.Educate members on plan benefits. Encourage members to establish with PCP and keep regular follow up. Workplace culture is great. My manager is amazing, extremely knowledgeable and flexible. Hardest part of the job is finding providers willing to accept HMO plan. Most enjoyable part is helping members achieve their health goals. And helping them understand this unprecedented healthcare system.

Pros

Flexibility, remote work, option to work four 10 hour shifts

Cons

Salary, cost of health insurance, retirement benefits.

Good Place to Work

I Have no issues with this workplace. It was a really good company to work for. I would say high volume calls with members who are upset, so definitely learning to manage and deal with stressful calls is a must. However the job can be very rewarding if you let it be.

Great work place

The calls may come in fast and demanding but the constant training helps with the work flow. If you do your job and keep your stats up, you will get a quarterly bonus. I have a superb manager who is a great advocate for her staff.

Great place to work

Great work like balance, great shifts, amazing bonuses! Wonderful place to grow and make a career out of. Hardest part is dealing with entitled rich folk (members).

Great Work-Life Balance and a Very Helpful and Empathetic Team

Lots of freedom to learn with a very supportive staff. With a very deep and crowded schedule, higher-ups will still make time to walk you through things and aid in your learning,

Workplace and environment

Benefits are good, work place is fun but the metrics and call volume is high during open enrollment. The incentive for meeting your metrics were awesome.

Flexibility in many roles to work from home full time if desired

Always opportunity to learn new things in the field of Health Care and Health Insurance. I have met so many wonderful and caring people during my career. The part of the job I like the least is the inability to control the workload throughout the year. In my area ,the new year starts out slow and starting in September through mid December the amount of Projects you are expected to work on is not really feasible to manage. Therefore, it's nights (so 12+ hour workdays) and working weekends until the December Release goes in.

Pros

Flexibility to work from home

Cons

Lots of weekend releases and late night out of cycle release in the I.T. dept

Collaborative Workplace

Great work-life balance, good communication, selective hiring process yielded high performing team, proactive HR department for compensation. Main campus in Jacksonville made it more difficult for remote employees to advance.

Best Company I ever worked for

Great company that cares about keeping their employees happy. They have outstanding benefits, a huge cafeteria, a gym, and some of the best coworkers I've ever been around. I had a lot of vacation time, personal days and they were very flexible. There is always opportunities for promotions. They generally hired from within the company which was nice. I really miss working for them. They became my family.

Pros

Benefits; promotional opportunities; great environment.

Cons

None
