Everyone is like a family and we take care of eachother Struggling with short staff is the only thing!!But they take care of their employees. For my point of you has a healthy place to work.

Decent

Loews is a decent place to work if you join a clique and get tight with a manager. Other than that, you are nearly invisible no matter how much you work.

None

Favoritism is a big factor, ..open door policy is a joke, pay sucks, but senior management always gets their bonus. Biased, you do your job and get to do others jobs for them too due to lazy people and managers not paying attention or not caring.

Pros

Free lunch

Cons

Favoritism, low pay, no room for advancement, no holiday pay, hard to request pto, biased senior management.

Okay

Usually the place was pretty understaffed. There were plenty of opportunities for overtime, but most of the time we didn't have the team to staff the deck.

Fun

It’s was an okay place to work at. Management was a mess very fast environment to work at. Free food for break was a plus, don’t work there if you can’t handle presssure

Run away

Management will cut you down at the first opportunity. Every call is from an angry guest who has been transferred many times before getting to you. Software was down literally 30% of the time so some days you answer calls and tell them sorry can't help you and they yell just the same. High turnover and once out of training you are on your own.

Pros

Overtime is optional

Cons

Managers not on your side

Promotion? Don’t bet on it

But kiss enough (donkey) and you’ll make it far. Those who are worth keeping aren’t appreciated, then they act surprised when they leave. They under pay their internals and overpay the outsiders.

Toxic environment, no opportunity for promotion, terrible management

This is not a good company. Benefits are mediocre. Health insurance is terrible. They do give you tickets for the parks but are still taxed for them so they aren’t technically free. There are free meals but the food has gone downhill after the pandemic. Management doesn’t care about you. You are just a number. Guests can either be amazing or the worst people you will ever meet. They are somewhat flexible. Depending on your position you’ll typically get off on time. The work environment is extremely toxic. Most people are not exactly welcoming or nice. Very few and far in between. Lots of drama all the time. They will fire people for any reason during firing season. Yes there is a time of the year they fire people probably to save in budget. Don’t recommend working here. You’ll be better off working for the competition.

Pros

Free food, get off on time typically

Cons

Terrible co workers, horrible management, guests can suck most of the time

Management determines how it is

Easy enough job. Nice coworkers. Very straight forward, but your management determines how well you do. If you have an effective department, you'll have a lot of fun. If your management sucks, the job will suck.

Productive and fun work place

Working at Loews was one of the best experiences. They allowed you creative freedom and trust you to get the job done. They also provided amazing opportunities for employees.

Very good employer

I really enjoyed my time at Lowes hotels. I started as a receptionist, then moved up to a recruiter, then finished as Employee coordinator. The work environment was fun & productive.I did not have children during my time at Lowes so I cannot comment on maternity/paternity benefits.

The people

Overall, Loews Hotel is a good place to work and there is advancements in your job. They need to have higher wages but the food is good, good employer-employee communication.

Nothing good here, dont bother

Nothing good or productive from this company, don't bother. Had better success with balance, happiness, promotion and pay at competitors like Disney and Seaworld. Lots of people lacking ethics and morals. Only a handful of genuinely good people that feel like they are drowning. Safety is a concern.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Lack of sanitation, lack of safety, lack of pormotion, lack of education, lack of respect and inclusion, lack of pay, plenty of mean/angry managers and executives

In my opinion, understaffed with unrealistic expectations

They have continued to add properties (increase work volume) without compensating the employees who already have a high turnover. This is the only company I've ever seen that does not have someone in leadership responsible to supply their employees with accurate up-to-date information needed to perform the roll in one place. You are required to have verbal conversations and assist guests at the same time as you have different written conversations and assist different guests, all while needing to use the same or completely different programs for each conversation. There is no followup education for new hires when they do not know what to do. In general, the organization of data and communication is not what it should be for this kind of company. At times, there have been 3 employees taking all calls and texts for every single guest services property and incoming reservation call. It's unrealistic to have that kind of staff shortage without fair compensation (at minimum) and expect people to stay. It's also inconsiderate of employees (in my opinion) to, on their hardest days with callouts and staff shortages, expect them to not take any extra needed time between calls to complete work or have a 5 second break.

Pros

If you put in a request for a day off a month in advance, you will likely get it.

Cons

See above.

Poorly ran!!

There is no accountability.. staff runs management! They are more worried about bodies then actually running a positive work environment. Their motto is we are Family but there is no support. They are more worried numbers then being supportive and taking care of their own.

Pros

Benefits

Cons

Lack of accountability and being unappreciated
