Ministry of Justice Careers and Employment

About us
Created in April 2017, Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) is a new agency in the Ministry of Justice, covering 121 prisons and employing over 42,000 staff. Our mission: to protect the public and rehabilitate people.

We work with our partners to carry out the sentences given by the courts, either in custody or the community.

We
 – more... reduce reoffending by rehabilitating the people in our care through education and employment. The agency is made up of Her Majesty’s Prison Service, the National Probation Service and a headquarters focused on creating tools and learning. – less

Staff are not protected from bullying, apparently it is not what you know it is who you know in order to get ahead at the Ministry.
Written by Executive Assistant (Former Employee) from Wellington on 14 April 2020
There is a lot of workplace bullying that is not addressed. There is also a lot of favoritism, which is the only way to get ahead. The culure is very poor.
