A typical work day starts with emails, visits to my office from other workers with problems or ideas about the workplace, dealing with customers, clients, volunteers, and general enquiries then on to the health and safety checks, stopping to chat along the way. Then its admin time....reports, statistics, catching up on paper work, filing, organising meetings for the day as well as up any upcoming meetings. This job has taught me patience and the ability to organise my days, conflict resolution and great customer service and people skills and the ability to deal with people of all demographics. The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction with people and being able to help solve their problems or to at least be part of it. The hardest part is talking in front of a room full of people, definitely not one of my strong points but one I hope to rectify.
meeting new people and the coffee break
coffee break isn't long enough and sometimes the day isn't long enough either!
