It's a great company to work for as a young, developing individual as you will develop a variety of people skills. You learn how to do basic administrative work while also co-operating with people from a wide range of backgrounds. I really enjoy the people-focused aspect of this job and I will dearly miss it when I move on. The hardest part of this job was learning how to interact with different people - how to sympathize and empathize. How to solve conflict was a skill I quickly grasped as this was my first job.
Its all based on the effort. The much effort you put through your sales, the more benefits you will get. Moreover, a good work culture, friendly environment.
Free Pizzas on special occasions
Sometimes long hours
I had a great time working at Noel Leeming as my co-workers were very kind and helpful. The time I joint I wasn't enough confident to communicate & help the customers, that's where my colleagues helped me a lot.
Poor commission. The big sale weeks basically mean you don’t get any commission that week. Bosses aren’t friends they’re bosses so don’t expect to get spoken to like a human being. One manager told me I had to work my brothers wedding even with 4 weeks notice then he got fired and the next one basically threw me out of the store to go to the wedding. Choose your stores wisely
Great workplace yet, where I have worked. Enjoyable working with a young team who are given proper training from time to time. Work culture is hard and enjoyable at the same time.
Unrealistic sales targets and stingy commission
Noel Leeming is one of the best companies to work. It develops your skills and helps you to step up in your career. Management is always there to help you out. There are different programs running to help you to step up. There are learning modules to grow your skills and knowledge regarding products. They don't discriminate you on the basis of your caste, ethnicity or religion. The most enjoyable part of the job is fun at work.

great enviroment- all the perks
to far for me to travel and raise my child by myself.
Very target focused, so long as you were hitting your targets then you would do well in the job. Managment where great with people who wanted to move up the chain, offering lots of courses to better your skills in retail and management.
Store not bringing in enough money? Clearly you aren’t selling enough! Slow foot traffic? That’s your fault somehow. Store hemoraging money all over the place? Definitely your fault. Super unrealistic sales targets that most people will never meet regularly and you better believe that’s a disciplinary offence. They fired one of my favourite coworkers for not meeting his targets. Nobody meets their targets because the store just doesn’t get the foot traffic to make those numbers! Awful awful awful!
Good discounts on stuff. Occasional spivs
Unrealistic sales targets, poor store management, poor pay and stingy commission.
Overall great learning experience for both customer and staff. A typical day includes giving possible suggestions for buyers as they usually want the best brands. My schedule would bee really busy throughout the week so when It came to events I would find myself seeking for products online but of their great deals and offerings to their membership customers.

My role is to help out customer to install, and troubleshoot their equipments. Our company sell varices of electronic equipments such as, Smart TVs, Laptop, Tablets, Smart phones, Wi-Fi routers and Smart Fridges. I alway have the idea of making people's life easier with their latest technology, have fun with it, and make the most of it. base on the customer I travel from places to places,I plan them all in one area per day, or two area per day to make the most of the travel. example: Hamilton area with Te Awamutu, Cambridge with Matamata, Morrinsville with Te Aroha... During the down times( when there is not job in plan) I will visit nearest store and share what I have learned and customer feedback towards staff members. the best reward is to see every customer's satisfaction after setup their technology equipments.
