Great place to start your career out of college. You will be challenged every day, but you will also learn a lot along the way. Lots of young and smart people to work with.
smart people, fast paced, quick progression up the ladder
no work life balance, multiple competing priorities all year long
As noted by many, and as inferred by by comment around individual performance above, if you want to get ahead here you WILL work your rears off. Late nights and weekends, with minimal complaining, are the norm for those who are successful. There is a lot about the firm that is great. It is a great culture that values collaboration (below the partner level), that truly values diversity of its employees, and that is very collegial.
PwC is a great place to start a career. You learn a lot in the first couple of years as an associate. However, depending on the team and market, people can have a wide range of experiences. Unfortunately the company culture does not always cultivate a sense of longevity at the firm.
This is a great place to begin your career as it will teach you everything about yourself. It will make you aware of what you value in your job/career, management style, working with 'diverse' teams, etc. Starting here can ONLY make you better.
PwC is a valuable place to work to gain experience in audit and the overall field of accounting. The potential for long hours may not be for everyone but the experience you gain is very good.
Valuable experience relating to accounting and financial statements
Potential for long hours
PwC is a great place to start off your career. They offer great training and benefits as well as improved work like flexibility. They also put stress on real-time feedback with the snapshot system to help you improve your skills. The workload is pretty large especially during year-end so you must be willing to work late nights and weekends. Upward feedback however seem non existent and communication to lower staff from upper management is atrocious.
PwC is a great place to gain professional experience. We worked in teams of very smart and experienced professionals. In addition to having highly capable and motivated individuals the company provides great benefits for its employees.
PwC is a good place to work. I have had the opportunity to learn a lot. I performed walk-throughs, gathered evidences, reviewed evidences, performed testing and followed up with Clients as necessary. I was able to work in very detail oriented manner and identify new testing attributes. Performed internal database mapping and managing internal relationship with the global teams.
