good place for a first job

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
working at grill'd was a great first job as they provide all the training and require no experience. however, the pay is really bad and you don't get extra on weekends. they also make you do a traineeship that takes a year and is quite stressful but they pay you when you have done it and pay for your RSA. you also get a hospitality cert II at the end. the management for the most part was good but made me feel bad if I could not make it to a shift because you are sick (I literally couldn't get out of bed for three days)

Fun work environment and great place to work while attending school.

I worked at jets during college and it was a great experience. My location was very inviting and my coworkers were great. It is a great place to work if you are going to school.

Not traditional nine to five job.

It's not a career but more of a job to pay you to get through until you find a career. You will probably be bored because the job requires more of a set up and wait atmosphere.

Rewards

Constantly gives out rewards for driver of the week and the station themselves often give out for and random items as well. Not a bad place to work if you like super physical jobs.

It was a fun place to work and make friends.

Chick-fil-A is always full and busy. On an average day your pretty much working the entire shift except on your designated break. You would complete task of cleaning, serving, as well as prepping if certified.

Pros

Nice environment

Cons

Short breaks, no discounts.

Cons

Nothing to say really

Its not good or bad. Pay does not equate to the amount of work you do. Animals were nice to see all the time and often got new ones. Hours vary from store to store
