Great place to work. The people are everything and they are great to work with. They support you in everything you do. I wish I would have applied a lot sooner. I can see myself working here for a long time.

Misrepresents opportunity to new hires/takes a large percentage of your commission

NO HEALTH BENEFITS/NO 401k/1099 MISAPPROPRIATION!! Please be aware that the employees are 1099 workers, however we are treated as W2 workers. We have REQUIRED meetings and have REQUIRED dress attire. We also have Managers who overlook our day to days who love being passive aggressive. Our weekly required meetings does not go over any valuable information about Medicare whatsoever. The agenda for meetings each week are mostly videos recorded by upper management stating how "great" the Medicare Store is and want the workers to drink the Cool-Aid. Lastly, the company takes 50% of your commissions for renewals. 50% of your hard earned commission is not worth the opportunity they give to each employee. The opportunities they give you will waste your time/money.

Sadly, I never actually got the chance to work there

After passing my state exam and being told not to quit my full time job as it would take time to be successful here, there was little to no understanding of my obligations to that current employer. I was expected to spend 6-12 hours absent from that job every week for trainings and "shadowing" other agents until I was ready to go. Another agent even told me that I would never succeed unless I walked away from my sole source of income. I was having difficulty with all the certifications and received little to no help at all when I expressed this to them; due to that, I was unable to become certified with all multitude of insurance carries necessary. When I informed both the contracting department and my manager, not one person reached out to me. So as far as their "family" environment, I was very disappointed in the lack of support and assistance I received from people that I was eagerly anticipating working with.

This company does things right!

If you are or want to be in Medicare industry, this is THE company you want to be part of. The company is very professional and supportive. Training & support system will set you to be successful as long as you do your part. This is where things are done in the RIGHT way! You get what you put in - very fairly.

Excellent company to work for!

Offers great work life balance. Management is extremely supportive. Lots of opportunity for learning. With regards to the Medicare field exclusively they offer free leads, tons of agent support, business cards, shirts, and reimbursement for most expenses. Excellent company to work for!

Engaging, challenging and most of all rewarding. You do need to have the ability to work independently and be self motivating.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of seniors, constantly be challenged to learn and grow, and control your income...this is the place to work!

I feel like I'm making a difference everyday

I feel like I help people every day and make a difference. That's what makes working in Medicare so rewarding! In addition to that, I can make good income. It's awesome!

The sky’s the limit!!

Working with TMS has positively changed my life! I now have freedom of being my own boss, but still with amazing support from our team. Literally, the best of both worlds!

Fun culture with great pay and flexibility

I absolutely love working at The Medicare Store. I love the culture because it's fun and feels like family. There are constantly work events to attend to grow your career and improve your skills as an agent. The flexibility is wonderful and something I never experienced at another company.

Work/Life Balance Great, Unequal Opportunity

UNEQUAL OPPORTUNITY!!! Lead opportunities are unequally distributed, and management will play favorites (booking appointments on calendars/carrier opportunities). And if you’re not meeting sales goals/minimums they’ll just tell you to visit dentists/primary care offices, you can do that as a Broker and not an agent and receive more of your commission.If you have any monthly expenses and this is your first time getting into insurance, do not join TMS.

Challenging and Rewarding

Helping seniors navigate the realm of Medicare is highly challenging and highly rewarding! I love knowing that I am guiding seniors in the right direction for them with their insurance choices. Everyday I get to help people and give them the reassurance and support that they are in the correct insurance plan for them and their specific situation. At the end of everyday I can rest assured that I did the right thing to help someone!

Rare Gem!

I am so impressed with everyone at The Medicare Store! The integrity and support of the staff makes me feel great to be part of their team. I always feel they see me as a person not just an "employee." In so many other jobs it was a way to get by and I knew I was always wanting to find something more. I am so excited that I found my last job and lifelong career.

Leap of Faith that PAID OFF

I have never worked with so many ethical, honest, kind, and hard-working people. The Medicare Store is the best work environment I've ever had. And I get paid to help people! The leap to a commission job was scary but it has paid off. Literally. My schedule is flexible so I never miss out on important family events and if I want a vacation, I take a vacation. I am so glad I trusted my gut when talking to these people. Best decision I ever made and best job I've ever had hands down.
