Lecturer in Moving Image (Former Employee) –  Waikato Institute of Technology30 October 2017
Fantastic students, highly intelligent, motivated and talented, but let down by a neoliberal management agenda that saw them as units for profit in a business model of education.
Highly committed teaching staff who for the most part have created a culture of collaboration but who are also subject to the incompetence of upper management.
Pros
Talented and wonderful students
Cons
Incompetent and bullying management and HR practices

Student
mature student (Current Employee) –  hamilton10 August 2012
I find The Tutors are great to deal with. I think that there should be an area where older students can use computers 24 hrs, were young ones arn't aloud to go into and stay on facebook and be rowdy all the time, and hold computers for there mates, so that no one else can get on them to do their work, a lot of us dont actualy have a personal computer due to cost.
Pros
nothings free, not even a cuppa
Cons
no adult area, somewhere to get away from the kids during breaks to study
