Registered Electrician

The Conduction Company (TCCO) is an Auckland-based Master Electrician contractor providing residential, commercial, and property maintenance electrical services, including installations, fault finding, emergency callouts, and integrated building systems such as HVAC, security, and data.

Job Description

As a Registered Electrician, you will carry out field-based electrical work across residential, commercial, and property maintenance sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical installations and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work

Diagnose and repair electrical faults in residential and commercial properties

Install and upgrade power and lighting systems

Work on switchboards, protection devices, and electrical circuits

Install hot water systems, appliance circuits, and general wiring

Install and maintain data, CCTV, alarm, and security systems

Conduct electrical testing and certification in line with EWRB standards

Respond to emergency callouts and fault breakdowns

Read and interpret electrical plans and wiring diagrams

Ensure compliance with NZ electrical regulations and safety standards

Communicate technical issues clearly to clients

Support and guide apprentices on-site when required

Requirements

Essential

NZ Registered Electrician licence (EWRB)

Experience in residential service or commercial maintenance work

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Good communication and customer service ability

Ability to work independently in field-based roles

Full NZ driver’s licence (for service vehicle use)

Preferred

Experience with multi-service systems (CCTV, security, HVAC integration)

Strong understanding of NZ electrical compliance standards

Experience mentoring apprentices or junior electricians
